June 2009
Farming World
We have two sets of dates for us to show at Farming World this year. As usual we will have two sales tables, one for members to sell turnings for their own profit and one where we sell donated pieces for charity. The first dates are 29th, 30th and 31st August. On this occasion the charity we will support will be the Sittingbourne Branch for multiple sclerosis research.

The second dates are the 19th and 20th September when we will support the SNAP Charity (special needs activity projects) which is this year’s choice of Farming World.

Fish ‘n’ chips
Paul has arranged the fish and chip lunch for Saturday 26th September. Time and cost will be advised nearer the date.

March 2009
I am pleased to announce that Pat Hughes has stepped into the breach and volunteered to take on the task of Events Organiser. The Committee welcome him with open arms and with his skills and ideas we know that Pat will be a valuable member of the team.
Trip to Yandles 4th April 2009

Will all members and their guests who are going on the trip to Yandles in April please pay their money to Paul Hunt or Bert Lanham at or before the next meeting. You can send a cheque to Bert if you think you may not be able to attend the March meeting. Just to remind you, the cost is £10 for members and £18 for guests or members of other clubs.

February 2009
Important notice

The next meeting is on Saturday 14th February and as we were unable to fill the post of Events Organiser at the AGM it was agreed that we will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting before Tony Handford starts his demonstration to try and resolve this situation.
One suggestion made at the AGM was that the job is shared by two or three people who would work as a sub committee with one of the team being the leader who will ensure co-ordination. As you all know, the programme for 2009 is complete so the new team will be planning 2010 and will start from scratch. Please turn up for this meeting and help us fill this important gap in our structure.

Paul Hunt will continue to handle the arrangements of social functions.

December 2008
Peter Branchett
Peter's daughter donated some of his tools etc to the club to sell and any money received should go to buying something for the club. We have so far collected £204 which will possibly go towards replacing the TV's. The current ones are extremely heavy to lift and someone is going to severely hurt themselves before long while lifting them in place.
